Meet the Team

The heart and soul behind LayaLab's mission.

Rohan Joshi

Musical Director

A professional tabla player with over 20 years of experience, Rohan is the musical soul of LayaLab. Frustrated by the lack of authentic-sounding digital tools, he personally curated and approved every lehra recording and composition featured in the app.

"Sound is everything. If the lehra doesn't feel alive, the practice is compromised. Our goal was to capture the subtlety and soul of a live musician in a digital format."

Anya Sharma

Lead Developer

With a background in both software engineering and sitar, Anya is the architect behind LayaLab's technology. She led the development of the app from the ground up, focusing on creating a fast, responsive, and stable experience.

"The challenge was to build something that was technologically modern but felt simple and traditional to use. Every line of code is written to serve the music and the musician's focus."

Sam Kapoor

UI/UX Designer

A passionate visual artist and part-time designer, Sam is responsible for LayaLab's clean and calming aesthetic. Believing that a practice tool should be heard more than seen, Sam designed an intuitive interface that is easy to navigate and free of clutter.

"A musician's mind is focused on their art. The design should honor that by being quiet, helpful, and beautiful in its simplicity."
